Markheden Preschool has five departments and is located in central Valbo, close to nature. Markheden has a long history of conscious environmental work and has the Håll Sverige Rent certification Green Flag. At Markheden Preschool, we strive to strengthen children's identity, self-esteem, creative abilities, health, and well-being. Furthermore, the preschool has its own chef and kitchen.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include:

• preparing nutritious meals from scratch with a sustainable perspective.
• planning the menu and cost-effectively managing the purchase of organic and climate-smart products.
• washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, as well as ensuring that hygiene routines are followed in the kitchen.
• working independently in the kitchen and collaborating with children and educators.

You are part of the work team and participate in workplace meetings and networking meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a chef at Markheden Preschool:

• you have education that can be assessed as equivalent to the restaurant program in high school with a focus on chef, at least 1400 points.
• you can read, understand, and communicate in Swedish in a functional way to, for example, comprehend work safety information, cleaning routines, instructions, safety regulations, product descriptions, etc.
• you have experience with computers, as ordering and receiving goods is done digitally.
• you preferably have experience in preschool kitchens with planning, purchasing, and preparing meals from scratch.
• you preferably have knowledge of, for example, nutritious content, allergy diets, vegetarian diets, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability from an environmental perspective.

To succeed in the role, you are:

• Structured: You have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best way.
• Collaborative: You have an unpretentious attitude in your collaboration with colleagues and children at the preschool by being professional, listening, showing empathy, and respect.
• Organized: You have the ability to plan and organize your work well. You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, and follow up and complete activities.

OTHER

You as the final candidate must be able to present a criminal record from the police for work in schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
